1. Set Up the Nebulizer
Place the nebulizer: Place the nebulizer unit on a flat, stable surface.
Assemble the parts: Connect the nebulizer tubing to the compressor’s air outlet.
Attach the medication cup: Open the medication cup and pour the prescribed amount of medication (liquid) into the cup. Close the medication cup securely.
2. Connect the Mouthpiece or Mask
Mouthpiece: Attach the mouthpiece to the top of the medication cup.
Mask: If you’re using a mask, attach the mask to the medication cup. The mask should be positioned snugly over your nose and mouth for optimal treatment.
3. Power On the Nebulizer
Turn on the device: Plug the nebulizer into a power source. Switch the power button to the “On” position to start the device. You should see a mist coming from the mouthpiece or mask as the medication is nebulized.
4. Take Your Treatment
Inhale deeply: Take slow, deep breaths through the mouthpiece or mask. Breathe in and out calmly to ensure the medication reaches your airways.
Continue until complete: Keep using the nebulizer until the mist stops, which typically takes around 10-15 minutes, or as recommended by your doctor.
5. Turn Off and Clean the Device
Turn off the nebulizer: Once treatment is complete, switch the nebulizer off.
Clean the parts: Remove the medication cup, mouthpiece, or mask. Clean these parts thoroughly with warm water and mild soap. Make sure they are dry before storing them away.
Store the unit: Ensure the nebulizer is stored in a clean, dry place for the next use.
