1. Prepare the Nebulizer
Place the nebulizer on a flat, stable surface: Ensure the unit is placed on a clean, dry area for easy access.
Connect the nebulizer tubing: Attach one end of the nebulizer tubing to the air outlet of the compressor.
2. Prepare the Medication
Fill the medication cup: Open the medication cup and pour the prescribed amount of medication (usually 12ml or as directed by your doctor) into the cup.
Secure the medication cup: Close the cup tightly to prevent any leakage.
3. Attach the Mouthpiece or Mask
Mouthpiece: For adults or older children, attach the mouthpiece to the top of the medication cup.
Mask: For younger children or those who prefer using a mask, attach the mask securely to the medication cup. Ensure the mask fits comfortably around the nose and mouth.
4. Power On the Nebulizer
Turn on the device: Plug the nebulizer into an electrical outlet. Press the power button to begin nebulization. You will notice mist starting to emerge from the mouthpiece or mask.
5. Take the Treatment
For Mouthpiece Use:
Inhale slowly and deeply through the mouthpiece. Breathe in and out calmly, ensuring the mist is effectively delivered to your lungs.
For Mask Use:
Place the mask over the nose and mouth, making sure it fits snugly. Take slow, deep breaths to ensure the medication reaches the airways.
Duration: Continue inhaling until the mist stops. The treatment should take around 10-15 minutes, or as recommended by your doctor.
6. Turn Off and Clean the Nebulizer
Turn off the nebulizer: Once the treatment is complete, press the power button to turn off the nebulizer.
Clean the device:
Detach the medication cup, tubing, mouthpiece, or mask. Wash these parts with warm, soapy water after each use. Rinse them thoroughly and allow them to air dry.
Do not submerge the compressor unit in water. Wipe it down with a damp cloth if necessary.
7. Store the Nebulizer
Store the unit properly: Once everything is cleaned and dried, store the nebulizer in a dry, clean place for the next use.
